I'm thinking of starting up an accessibility group here and was wondering others would be interested in joining? And if we should try to add one more meetup to the list each month?
We could put a forum, tutorials, or best practices. We could see if the guys would help us create something like www.Twittertale.com or www.Politweets.com from Twitter for accessibility.
I'm not quite sure yet what it might be it could be both.
I'd be willing to try and get something together for a monthly meeting. We could start out at a coffee shop or whatever the first few months. And start looking for a bigger place then if it looks like there will be more interest, so you culd sow code and other work.
What days are better for you? Tuesdays and the second and third Thursday are out for me (Web Standards and Refresh) the rest of the week is usually open for me.
I'm very interested in accessibility. Time willing, within the next year I'm planning to build a website that highlights the state of accessibility for major websites in the metro area, as a way to put public pressure on this issue. Anyone else interested in doing this?
