How much of the book should we have read by the first meeting?

I have a 25 minute metro commute each way so I'll be done probably mid next week. This is my first book club so I'm not sure how they're normally run. I'll have it read but others might not.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our first meeting. I nearly forgot.

When should we set a time, date and place for second meeting? I'd offer not a Thursday since everything seems to happen on Thursdays (Refresh DC, Web Standards Meetup). Also I think that a location other than 5 Guys which was kinda noisy would be good. Doesn't have to be a coffee house but maybe something similar.
