I currently serve as the Acting Legal Advisor to the Chief of the Federal Communications Commission's Media Bureau. The Media Bureau develops, recommends, and administers the policy and licensing programs relating to electronic media in the United States. This includes cable television, broadcast television, and radio. The Media Bureau also handles post-licensing matters as they relate to Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) service.
Prior to joining the Commission, I obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Law & Government from American University's Washington College of Law. While focusing my studies on communications law and policy, I was also able to gain experience as a legislative intern on Capitol Hill, and as a legal intern in the Policy Division of the Federal Communications Commission's Media Bureau.
From 2003 to 2006 I was a litigator in Miami, Florida, concentrating on insurance defense, insurance coverage, and bad faith matters.
Along with a keen interest in business, communications, and technology issues, I am also a strong believer in capitalism and the enduring entrepreneurial spirit. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
