Enabled Open Social Gadgets for DC Tech Network

Hey guys, i've enabled the use of open social gadgets for the DC Tech Network. There is now the gadgets tab in the navigation. You can put the gadgets in your profile... for example, see the chuck norris gadget in mine. (http://dctechnology.ning.com/profile/justinthorp)

We can also put them on the network home page... we'd just have to make something that's relevant to the whole group.

I'm going to start developing some gadgets... look forward to seeing what you all make too.

Thanks for creating this network!

So far though it feels a bit slugghish, we gotta come up with ways to stir it. This net has a LOT of potential, and should become very prominent in the dc area.

Justin, thanks so much. I don't know why I didn't join earlier! Seems like the DC tech community is really getting energized... let's keep the momentum going... and let me know if there is anything I can help with!

Hi Justin, thanks for the note.I did create a community on Ning, but we are not sure if developing our own network is the way to go so at this point it was more to play around with and to see what one can do with Ning. What is your experience in leading this group?
