Anyone interested in a Scala meetup?

I'm curious if there's interest in a Scala learning/hacking session. Coming out of the Javapolis conference a couple weeks ago, there is more buzz around Scala's potential to be the right way to get modern/functional language features on the JVM. Even if it doesn't work out that way, we're supposed to learn one new language a year, and it wouldn't hurt to do it in January.

Any interest in doing this? If so, maybe I'll fwd to a wider audience (java users group?)
